About

For the past 15 years, I have in my role as a coach and consultant encountered every kind of challenge related to creative endeavors, both at the individual, group and organizational level.

Through both individual and group sessions online and in person I help individuals and organizations build leadership capacity and develop dynamic work environments.

My Story

Since childhood I have been drawn towards creative expressions. The beauty, prudence, play, desire and meaning in creative work have always been essential to my work.

These interests have led me to pursue academic studies in Literature, Cultural Studies, Psychology, Psychoanalysis and Leadership Development. In addition, I draw on personal experiences linked to developing a premium furniture brand with my husband and building an international career.

Raised in idealistic, intellectual and spiritual environments, my path has always been reflexive. This stance has helped me make both difficult and rewarding decisions about what matters and what should matter in my life.

Today I live in Piemonte, Italy, with my husband, Mikal Harrsen, who is an industrial designer and interior architect, and our two young daugthers.

Why I Do It

As the world is suffering from an empathy crisis, I do believe we deeply need cultural work to survive as ethical and emotionally thriving communities.

When I work with my clients their love of what they do is always at the center of our conversations. But as with any relationship, your professional relationship can suffer from external pressures, miscommunication or unaligned priorities.

I strive to help my clients develop regenerative approaches to their work, their stakeholders and their position in the professional field they are in because I believe in the circularity of value creation.

"Thea is great to work with! She inspires and challenges with her high professionalism and human insight."

“Thea is very sharp and quickly understands the professional and personal situations and challenges you face. Thea is a good sounding board and always gives me a lot to think about.”

Jacob Jarek, founding partner of award-winning Danish film company Profile Pictures

“With her incredible ability to understand organizational challenges and needs, Thea was an invaluable resource on the innovation side who helped lay the foundation for one of our most successful ventures in the last years”

I am educated as both a psychologist, MSc, and as a film editor and trained in online learning processes. I have been working for Thea as a project manager for the past 2,5 years, helping develop the online coaching programs and structuring the journeys for development while getting to know and facilitate the professional development approach Thea has developed.

I thrive with helping professional creative people to discover new insights and ways to live their professional life, and I am available for coaching sessions.

“It matters what matters we use to think other matters with; it matters what stories we tell to tell other stories with; it matters what knots knot knots, what thoughts think thoughts, what descriptions describe descriptions, what ties tie ties. It matters what stories make worlds, what worlds make stories.”

Donna Haraway, Staying with the Trouble, 2016
